With over two decades of corporate, political, and agency experience, Dave Dziok is a distinguished public affairs expert. Dave has played a pivotal role in offering communications counsel to legislators at the state and federal levels and has advised executives from some of the nation’s most prominent enterprises. At Narrative, Dave skillfully navigates communications hurdles for diverse clients, including corporations, trade associations, and non-profits.
Dave creates, manages, and executes multifaceted media relations strategies for clients. Most recently, Dave worked with a trade association client to amplify research relevant to an active public policy issue under debate at the state level. Before the engagement with Narrative, media coverage of the study was scant. Dave led his team in conducting a comprehensive media landscape analysis to develop targeted messaging tracks that resonate with distinct reporters and outlets. As a result, media coverage of the study surged, resulting in more than 50 distinctive placements across local and national news outlets. The engagement generated multi-channel coverage across print, digital, radio, and television, including several top-tier placements. This included primetime coverage on Fox News and a feature by The Wall Street Journal Editorial Board.
Before joining Narrative, Dave served as Director of Communications for Koch Industries. With a focus on reputation management, business communications, and public affairs, Dave provided strategic communications counsel to the highest levels of company leadership. Before that, Dave served as Vice President for Edelman’s public affairs group in its Washington, DC office and held various communications roles at the US House of Representatives.
Dave graduated with a bachelor’s degree in political science and public Administration from Elon University and currently serves as President of the Alumni Board. He is a battle-tested Washington Nationals fan and an avid runner with seven marathons under his belt.
