Heather Owens is a seasoned political strategist with nearly two decades of experience in research and political campaigning. As a Senior Director at Narrative, Heather specializes in risk management and conducting thorough due diligence on behalf of clients.
Before her role at Narrative, Heather was Research Director at the Democratic Governors Association, where she built the organization’s research department from the ground up and transformed it into an industry powerhouse. During her tenure at the DGA, she worked with sitting US governors to shape their administrations’ policy priorities through innovative brand management and strategic communications tactics.
Heather’s previous roles include serving as Research Manager at EMILY’s List’s independent expenditure arm and as a Research Analyst at the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee during the pivotal 2006 Midterm election cycle.
She graduated from Fairfield University with a Bachelor of Arts before earning a Master of Arts in Public Policy from George Washington University. Outside of the office, Heather enjoys coaching her son’s sports teams and flying as a general aviation pilot.
