McHenry Lee

Director

McHenry Lee began his career in public affairs as a founding member of Narrative. As a Director, McHenry coordinates multi-state issue advocacy campaigns, manages rapid response efforts for clients, and develops and implements complex communications strategies. Although he works for clients across multiple industries, McHenry specializes in campaign management, crisis communications, and content development for financial services and healthcare sectors.

McHenry recently coordinated legal communications efforts for a healthcare client engaged in a high-profile lawsuit against a major health insurer. He counseled the client to frame the case as a battle between large, profitable health insurers against frontline healthcare heroes, and he directly generated nearly two dozen media hits in national outlets, including Axios, USA Today, and the Associated Press.

Before joining Narrative, McHenry was a Strategic Communications Manager for the CGCN Group. McHenry previously interned for the National Republican Senatorial Committee, the Republican opposition research firm America Rising, and the Mitt Romney for President campaign in 2012.

McHenry earned his master’s degree in political management from George Washington University and has counseled undergraduate students at Johns Hopkins University who are exploring careers in public affairs and communications. McHenry and his wife first met at Narrative.
