Rachel Gartner Clark

Managing Director

Rachel Gartner Clark brings over fifteen years of experience in healthcare public affairs communications, primarily representing third-party organizations and global biopharmaceutical companies. Rachel’s deep health policy expertise and her vast command of the factors that motivate influential stakeholders within the Beltway play a vital role in ensuring our clients’ priorities and objectives are effectively met.  

 

Rachel is experienced in executing the complete lifecycle of public affairs campaigns, from R&D to market launch. Her knowledge spans various therapeutic areas and issues, including pricing and access. A patient advocate herself; Rachel dedicates her time to the type 1 diabetes community as a member of Diabetes Patient Advocacy Coalitions’ Champion Corps, serving as a voice within the Washington, DC metropolitan area for individuals with diabetes. Rachel also serves on the Community Leadership Board of the American Diabetes Association.  

 

Rachel previously served as a Senior Group Director at Real Chemistry, where she built and led the public affairs offering, spearheading its “Health Alliances” and stakeholder engagement function. In this role, Rachel partnered with her clients to shape the policy conversation around generic drug market entry and successfully shaped Generic User Fee Amendments (GDUFA III) by helping to educate and influence the Food & Drug Administration as well as policymakers through third-party support. Rachel also led a public affairs campaign to address restrictive coverage policies for innovative treatments within the kidney space, mobilizing provider and patient voices.  

 

Rachel earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a concentration in American Politics from the State University of New York at Albany. She is a recipient of the 2024 Women We Admire Award, recognized as a top leader in DC.
