Tyler Hernandez

Senior Director

Tyler Hernandez is a results-driven communications and political strategist with over a decade of experience in the field. His diverse background spans Congress, the Executive Branch, campaigns, trade associations, and the private sector. Tyler utilizes his years of policy expertise and insights across education, healthcare, financial services, transportation, and workforce policy to build coalitions and promote a wide range of policy objectives.  

 

Previously, Tyler served as Senior Advisor to Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) Director Gordon Hartogensis, where he spearheaded the agency’s internal and external communications and shaped policy priorities.  

 

He has also held pivotal roles such as Communications Director for US Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV) and Deputy Communications Director for the US House Committee on Education and the Workforce under Chairmen US Representative John Kline (R-MN-02) and then-Chairwoman Virginia Foxx (R-NC-05).  

 

Tyler graduated from Tulane University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Communication Studies. Although Tyler has left public service, he still enjoys spending time with his wife and their dog, Gracie, in the Capitol Hill neighborhood.
