Best Online Video for Public Affairs Campaign - Public Health
Working with Patients Rising Now, we created an animated explainer video supporting their advocacy efforts in favor of the DOC Access Act, which aims to tackle the issue of de-facto monopolies in the healthcare system by dental and vision insurance plans, improve benefits for patients, and ensure that patients and their providers have the freedom to make decisions about their care.
Using a familiar and routine consumer experience, we were able to detail the hidden side of healthcare in an approachable and understandable way. This piece was shared in real time during Capitol Hill visits coinciding with the annual Patients Rising fly-in, as well as in a targeted digital campaign ahead of and during the fly-in.
Anecdotally, throughout the fly-in members and staff noted recall on this piece, and the shorter versions that were advertised to them, which allowed for a deeper conversation and higher activation toward action. The DOC Access Act gained 35 new co-sponsors (more than 60% of its total co-sponsors) during and after the campaign.
